As one of the leading brands in the motorcycle manufacturing industry in Vietnam, Piaggio Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Binh Xuyen Industrial Park) has pioneered in investing in building a factory according to the modern standards of the global Piaggio Group. From design, operation to production processes, all are optimized to minimize the impact on the environment. The company has installed a modern wastewater treatment system, ensuring that all wastewater is treated to standards before being discharged into the environment.

To reduce the burden of waste, the company implements energy-saving solutions such as using low-consumption equipment, renovating the lighting system and taking advantage of natural light in the production area. Production processes are improved to reduce solid waste generation, in which many types of materials are recycled or replaced with environmentally friendly materials. Electrostatic painting technology and the advanced iGet engine system significantly reduce CO2 emissions during production and product use. Piaggio's vehicle lines such as Vespa, Liberty, Medley, not only stand out in design but also have continuously improved engines to save fuel and meet Euro 3 and Euro 4 emission standards. Piaggio is also researching and gradually introducing smart electric vehicle models, meeting the green transportation trend in Vietnam.

In addition to production activities, Piaggio Vietnam actively participates in environmental protection programs such as: planting trees, cleaning up trash, raising public awareness; coordinating with universities to implement environmental education programs for young people; sponsoring and accompanying many green transportation initiatives of the state and international organizations.

Honda Vietnam is determined to achieve the goal of "Three No's" by 2050

Accounting for more than 80% of the motorbike market share and about 8% of the automobile market share in Vietnam, Honda Vietnam Company (HVN) is operating three motorbike factories and one automobile factory with a total designed capacity of 2.75 million motorbikes and 35,000 automobiles per year. In June 2025, the company produced its 40 millionth motorbike, marking a milestone of nearly three decades of sustainable development for Honda in Vietnam.

Identifying green production as a top priority, in 2023, HVN put into operation a rooftop solar power system at two factories in Vinh Phuc (old) and Ha Nam (old), with a total capacity of 8 MWp. Thanks to that, the company has saved more than 7.5 million kWh of electricity per year, equivalent to reducing emissions of about 4,700 tons of CO2. From 2008 to the end of 2024, HVN has planted more than 830 hectares of trees through the campaign "Honda Tree Planting Day - For a Green Vietnam".

To realize the "Three Zero" goal by 2050 including zero CO2 emissions, zero energy risks and zero risks in resource use and waste disposal, HVN has synchronously deployed many solutions such as: Improving the working environment by reducing temperature, dust, noise, and CO2; installing central air conditioning systems; developing low-emission motorbikes and cars; recycling domestic and industrial wastewater; reusing rainwater in production; using the PMS energy management system to detect and reduce energy waste. As a result, in 2022, HVN reduced 3,299 tons of CO2, saved 44,149 m3 of water and reduced 1,082 tons of solid waste. In 2024, the company continued to achieve impressive results by reducing nearly 8,900 tons of CO2, clearly demonstrating the effectiveness of the green production strategy that Honda is pursuing.

By 2030, Phu Tho province aims to form an ecological industrial corridor connecting Vinh Yen-Binh Xuyen-Tam Duong localities, with new generation industrial parks integrated with shared infrastructure, renewable energy and waste circulation models. Accordingly, the province continues to encourage the development of green enterprises through many preferential policies such as: Support preferential loans for green projects; prioritize access to production sites; reduce costs of resource use and waste treatment; develop renewable energy. Training programs and specialized seminars will also be promoted to raise awareness and capacity to deploy green technology, build sustainable development strategies for enterprises.
