Unique "Green Patrol" model in Binh Trung ward

On September 13, Binh Trung ward (HCMC) launched the movement to build the "Binh Trung of thousands of flowers" project and deploy the "Green patrol" model to contribute to maintaining security and order, protecting the environment, and building a civilized urban area.

According to Party Secretary and Chairman of the Ward People's Council, Tran Quoc Trung, in recent years the ward has achieved many positive results in building a civilized, clean and beautiful ward. However, to move towards the goal of "green - clean - beautiful, safe - civilized - modern", more creative models are needed to arouse the responsibility and self-awareness of the community.

In the movement “Binh Trung of thousands of flowers”, bougainvillea was chosen as a symbol because of its cheerful, durable and vibrant characteristics. The ward called on people to respond to the model “Each person has a flower pot – each house has a color – each neighborhood has a flower garden”, and at the same time established volunteer clubs, painting, decorating public spaces…

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Trung Ward Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huong said that in the coming time, the ward will continue to build more national flag streets in the neighborhoods, contributing to spreading the spirit of patriotism and creating urban beauty.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Trung Ward signed a joint agreement with units to implement the movement to build the "Binh Trung of thousands of flowers" project in the period 2025 - 2030.

Notably, Binh Trung Ward Police launched the "Green Patrol" model, which not only ensures security and order but also contributes to reducing emissions, responding to the NET ZERO target before 2050. On this occasion, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee mobilized benefactors to donate 6 patrol cars (worth more than 160 million VND) to the police force, and also donated trees, flowers and planting land to the units.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the police force organized patrols on key routes, combining maintaining social order and safety with spreading the message of green living, building "Binh Trung ward with many colors of flowers, safe and friendly".
