Urging progress of the North-South high-speed railway project through Khanh Hoa

Mr. Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, has just requested departments, branches and sectors to proactively review and focus on speeding up the implementation of assigned tasks and work related to compensation, site clearance and resettlement of the North-South high-speed railway project, the section passing through Khanh Hoa province.

Departments, branches and sectors strengthen coordination between departments, branches, sectors and consulting units to forecast and proactively propose solutions to overcome difficulties in site clearance and resettlement; focus on determining the location and scale of resettlement areas in accordance with land use planning and plans.

At the same time, Mr. Huyen also requested agencies, units, and localities to urgently develop propaganda and mobilization plans suitable to the actual situation to create high consensus among the people in implementing the project...

The high-speed railway project on the North-South axis, the section passing through Khanh Hoa province, has its starting point in Dai Lanh commune, bordering Dak Lak province; its ending point in Phuoc Ha commune, bordering Lam Dong province. The project passes through 29 communes and wards of the province with a total length of about 191.8km. In the province, there are 3 stations (including 2 passenger stations and 1 freight station), along with 4 maintenance stations...

According to the report of the Department of Construction, in the province there are 5,467 households and 36 organizations affected by the project, 1,829 households need to be resettled. The total number of resettlement areas serving the project is 31, of which 13 resettlement areas already exist, 18 resettlement areas need to be newly built and expanded with a total construction area of 99.5 hectares.

The construction of the resettlement area is expected to be implemented from March 2025 to December 2026; the work of inventory, compensation, support and resettlement plans is expected to be implemented from March to December 2026; the work of compensation, support and resettlement is expected to be implemented from June 2026 to June 2028.
