Winning all four matches at the 2023 Southeast Asian Veterans Tournament, the Vietnam Veterans and Friends team was officially crowned with a convincing 12 points after the final match on November 26.

With a team of many famous former players such as Tan Tai, Truong Van Khanh (Becamex Binh Duong ), Van Phong, Cong Quoc, Hoang Duc (Khanh Hoa) as well as quality super players such as Bui Truong Bien (Binh Duong), Trung Nui, Hoa Bac (HCMC), the team of Former Vietnamese Players and Friends has won the championship convincingly.
Accordingly, the team defeated Thailand A, Thailand B, Laos and Indonesia in all 4 matches. Winning 4 absolute victories with 12 points, the team of coach Tran Phuc Thao and his team was excellently crowned in Thailand.

Not only did the Vietnam Veterans and Friends team win the championship, they also won individual titles, including Top Scorer (Dao Van Phong - 7 goals); Best Goalkeeper (Phan Tran Quy). This year's tournament was also held for the first time, and was a playground for former players to interact with each other.
