With the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", as of March 15, 2024, Phan Thiet City had 18/18 wards and communes completing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at the commune level for the 2024-2029 term as planned. This is the first unit in the province to complete the organization of the Commune-level Fatherland Front Congress for the 2024-2029 term.
Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Mai - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phan Thiet City said: The organization of the Commune-level Fatherland Front Congress for the 2024-2029 term has been completed on schedule, with guidance on both program structure, content, personnel work and celebration; the contribution of opinions and discussions has clarified the shortcomings and limitations in the 2019-2024 term, thereby contributing to the development of an action program for the new term. In particular, the congress personnel work has been carefully prepared, ensuring compliance with regulations, with the correct and sufficient number of participants. Accordingly, the Fatherland Front Congresses of wards and communes have agreed to consult and elect the Fatherland Front Committee for the new term 2024-2029 with 557 members of the Ward and Commune Fatherland Front Committees and have consulted and elected 112 official delegates to attend the delegation to attend the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of the City. The 10th Phan Thiet Congress, term 2024 - 2029, ensures sufficient quantity, composition and structure according to prescribed guidelines. At this congress, the Front Committees of 18/18 wards and communes also completed collecting comments on the draft documents of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at higher levels; directly and proposed comments on amending the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Currently, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phan Thiet City is preparing the next steps to organize the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phan Thiet City, term 2024 - 2029, scheduled to be held in the last week of April 2024. This is also the unit chosen by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to organize the district-level Congress. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has worked with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phan Thiet City on preparations to successfully organize the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phan Thiet City, term 2024 - 2029.
Along with that, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phan Thiet City organized a special emulation campaign to achieve achievements in welcoming the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, towards the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Binh Thuan Province and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029. Through implementation, the Fatherland Front at 2 levels from the city to the ward and commune has implemented 47 meaningful and practical works and tasks. The works and tasks to celebrate revolve around urban beautification, infrastructure inside residential areas, environmental sanitation, social security such as making cement concrete roads, building civilized streets, receiving sponsorship, equipping basic institutions at village halls, neighborhoods... Thereby, contributing to creating a green, clean, beautiful environment, improving people's lives.
