On September 10, at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), comrade Tran Quoc Vuong, former Politburo member and former Standing member of the Secretariat, visited the outdoor exhibition area of Hai Phong city at the National Achievements Exhibition.

Welcoming and introducing the delegation was comrade Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City .

The handicraft booths received much attention from the delegation.

Hai Phong's outdoor exhibition area makes an impression right from the first image with the message "Hai Phong reaching out to the sea", expressed through the container crane model - a typical symbol of the modern Port city.

On the left of the exhibition space is an image of a cargo ship cutting through the waves, symbolizing the strong development of the logistics industry, affirming its role as a national import-export center. On the right is an image of the gate of Kiep Bac Temple, located in the World Heritage Complex of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac, symbolizing a city rich in cultural traditions and heritage.

Here, many miniatures introduce the city's strategic development orientations such as: Hai Phong Free Industrial Zone in the future - a global trade, logistics and industrial center, with high-rise buildings, smart and synchronous infrastructure. Miniatures of the world heritage Con Son - Kiep Bac and Cat Ba archipelago have contributed to introducing the typical cultural and natural values of the city.

The delegation visited the exhibition area of agricultural products, OCOP products and handicrafts.

Notably, the outdoor exhibition area brings together 83 business booths, nearly 500 typical products in the groups of industry, seaports, logistics, construction, real estate, agriculture, handicrafts, services and tourism.

The high-tech agricultural and handicraft area has the participation of 34 typical enterprises and business households; the agricultural products area, OCOP and craft villages display 250 items of 38 subjects, with more than 10,000 unique products. In addition, the culinary experience area with 10 booths attracts a large number of visitors with famous specialties such as spicy bread, Cat Hai fish sauce, braised sardines... All have contributed to affirming the image of Hai Phong - a city not only famous for industry and seaports but also rich in cultural identity and rich cuisine.

Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong highly appreciated the exhibition space of Hai Phong city at the Exhibition of 80 years of national achievements.

During the visit, comrade Tran Quoc Vuong expressed his deep interest, spent a lot of time learning about each item, listening to the introduction of outstanding achievements as well as the development orientation of Hai Phong in the new period. He acknowledged the creativity in the way of organizing space, highly appreciated the city's development vision, and emphasized the harmonious combination of economic and industrial achievements with cultural values, heritage and unique identity of Hai Phong.

Introducing the Hai Phong exhibition area at the National Achievements Exhibition, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau affirmed that the city considers this an opportunity to promote the image, introduce the potential, strengths, cultural heritage, and people of Hai Phong to domestic and international friends. The exhibition space is expected to become a "window" for people across the country to better understand a renewed, comprehensively developed Hai Phong, accompanying the country in the cause of industrialization and modernization.

The visit of the leaders and former leaders of the Party and the city shows their concern and close guidance, is an important source of encouragement for the cadres, party members and people of Hai Phong, adding to their confidence and aspiration to rise up and build the Port City to become increasingly rich, civilized and modern, worthy of being one of the driving forces of development of the whole country.
