
According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Bach Long Vi Special Zone Dao Minh Dong, due to the influence of storm No. 10, on the afternoon of September 28, on Bach Long Vi Island there was a level 7 northeast wind, gusting to level 8, level 9, and light rain.
By 4 p.m., all 66 fishing boats managed by Bach Long Vi Special Zone had been brought ashore to ensure maximum safety and avoid collisions with waves. 11 vehicles and 79 workers from other localities had also entered safe anchorage and shelter.
According to observations from Radar Station 490, there are 5 transport vessels operating from 15 to 39 nautical miles from Bach Long Vi Island.
The Office of the People's Committee of Bach Long Vi Special Zone coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Special Zone and agencies and units to prepare accommodation at the multi-purpose gymnasium, ready to receive and guide people and fishermen to safely avoid the storm.
The port management board presides over and coordinates with the Border Guard Station, the Special Zone Police, the Special Zone Military Command and residential area No. 2 to prepare a plan to evacuate households in the waterfront area of the port promenade when requested by the Command Board for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of the Bach Long Vi Special Zone.
