After saving enough money and deciding to quit his job at the Central College of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Hau started a virtual reality tourism project. He hired someone to build a website at a cost of 40 million VND and collected data on tourist destinations himself.

In October 2024, the first tourist destinations in Phu Yen province (old) appeared on Mr. Hau's platform. 2 months later, the project began to be widely publicized with 80 locations, then increased to 139 destinations, including: scenic spots, historical sites, dining places, hotels and famous traditional craft villages...
"The most difficult part is collecting data, I have to go directly to each location to take panoramic photos with specialized equipment. Many times on rainy and windy days, the trip is considered a waste...", Mr. Hau shared.

Mr. Hau added that he is currently the sole "soul" of the project. He personally performs all steps from collecting, processing photos, writing articles to connecting destinations. Each location takes about 2 days to complete, including taking photos, processing, connecting and writing explanatory articles. In particular, he uses AI technology to convert articles into voiceovers, bringing a convenient experience to users.
"When doing this project, I had to learn more about local culture and feel more love for my homeland. I actively synthesized information from many sources, especially the province's official sources to ensure the accuracy of the historical relics. For the scenic spots, I wrote based on my personal feelings as a Phu Yen native experiencing them as a tourist," Mr. Hau confided.
Although Mr. Hau's website focuses heavily on user experience with intuitive, accessible images, this also makes search optimization more difficult.
He accepts to "sacrifice" some of the search optimization to prioritize the user's visual experience. His website is difficult to be recommended on search engines, because the articles are hidden in videos. However, when visitors visit the website, they will feel the convenience and ease of experience.
In the spirit of developing local tourism, Mr. Hau once offered to give the right to use the website to Phu Yen province (old) for widespread promotion. However, during the period of merging administrative units, his project has not yet been sent to the "hands" of the local government.
In the near future, Mr. Hau plans to expand the project to the west of Dak Lak. He has planned to go to Buon Ma Thuot at the end of July to survey and collect data at some prominent locations, such as: Buon Ma Thuot center, Buon Don and Dak Lak Coffee Museum.
Mr. Hau said that he himself has no intention of establishing a travel company or selling tours, because there are many units developing the tourism industry. He wants to follow a path that no one has done, contributing in a unique way to his homeland.
With burning passion and perseverance, Mr. Hau's VR virtual reality tourism project is not only a technological product, "digital tourism" but also an inspirational story about love for the homeland and the desire to contribute.
