Hanoi ranked 5th in the list of the most beautiful autumn foliage destinations in Asia. The British magazine described the Vietnamese capital as having "a very unique autumn" compared to other destinations in the continent.

This magazine suggests that visitors should stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake to admire the typical red and yellow leaves. This is also the harvest season in the North, coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival, bringing many unique cultural experiences. In addition to sightseeing, visitors can immerse themselves in the festival with traditional music , lion dances and enjoy moon cakes with lotus seeds, salted eggs and green beans.
"When night falls, the streets are lit up by all kinds of lanterns, creating a sparkling, captivating scene," the British magazine described.
This publication also suggests that October is the best time for tourists to experience Hanoi's autumn.

In addition to the capital of Vietnam, the remaining 6 names appearing on the list include Ibaraki and Kyoto (Japan); Nami Island (South Korea); Alishan National Scenic Area (Taiwan, China); Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Jiuzhaigou Valley National Park (China).
