Weather forecast September 23, 2024: Northern region has thunderstorms, Northeast monsoon

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today's weather (September 23), cold air continues to affect the North and North Central regions, with Northeast winds inland at level 2-3 and coastal areas at level 3-4.

In the North and Thanh Hoa , the weather is cool, in the mountainous areas of the North, it is cold in some places. During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the North and Thanh Hoa is generally from 20-23 degrees, in the mountainous areas, it is below 19 degrees.

Hanoi area is cool with the lowest temperature commonly 21-23 degrees.

At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin, there are strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8; rough seas; waves 2 - 3.5m high.

Regarding the rain situation, in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An areas, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain with rainfall from 40-80mm, and locally over 130mm.

From Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue, there will be moderate to heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain with common rainfall from 40-90mm, and in some places over 150mm.

The plains and coastal areas of the North and Hoa Binh have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms in some places, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 20-40mm, locally over 70mm (rain concentrated at night and morning).

The area from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands and the South will have showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 70mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and night).

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue

Cloudy with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; scattered showers and thunderstorms at night in the North. North to northwest wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 21-24 degrees.

Highest temperature: 26-29 degrees.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan

Cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Southwesterly winds at level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to produce tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees.

Highest temperature: 30-33 degrees.

Central Highlands

Cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Southwest wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
