Forest fire forecast and information from August 10 to August 13

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On August 9, the Forest Protection Department (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thanh Hoa province) forecasted and provided information on forest fire forecasts so that the People's Committees of communes, wards, relevant agencies and units could proactively implement forest fire prevention and fighting measures in the area.

According to the forest fire warning information of the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection and the weather forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from August 10 to August 13, 2025, the weather in the communes and wards of Kim Tan, Van Du, Ngoc Trao, Thach Binh, Thanh Vinh, Thach Quang, Bien Thuong, Xuan Du, Mau Lam, Nhu Thanh, Yen Tho, Xuan Thai, Trung Chinh, Tan Ninh, Ham Rong, Dong Son, Dong Tien, Hoang Tien, Hoang Phu, Hoang Giang, Sam Son, Ha Trung, Ha Long, Tong Son, Hoat Giang, Linh Toai, Trieu Loc, Dong Thanh, Hoa Loc, Van Loc will continue to be hot and dry for a long time, with no rain, and the risk of forest fires is forecast at level III (high level).

Level III (high level) is characterized by prolonged dry weather, prone to forest fires and the ability to spread over a large area.

The Forest Protection Department requests the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the above-mentioned communes and wards to direct the Steering Committee to implement the sustainable forestry development program and the Forest Protection Department to urge the implementation of forest fire prevention and control work by forest owners in the area.

Regularly check key fire-prone areas; organize forest fire patrols 24/7 (from 8pm to 8pm), paying special attention to peak hours.

Forest owners and Forest Protection Departments must regularly and strictly inspect key fire-prone areas. Prohibit the treatment of forest vegetation, slash-and-burn farming and the use of fire in and around forests.

The Forest Protection Department has a firm grasp of weather conditions to forecast and promptly notify communes, villages, forest owners, and communities about forest fire forecast levels and local forest fire situations.

When a forest fire occurs, the Chairman of the Commune or Ward People's Committee mobilizes forces and means to participate in fire fighting; in case the forest fire is beyond the control of the commune, the Chairman of the Commune or Ward People's Committee shall request the neighboring communes or wards to increase forces and means to support. At the same time, report to the Provincial Steering Committee to have solutions to mobilize forces and equipment to support timely response.
