Hue tourism wins big on the occasion of Tet At Ty

On February 2, Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of Hue City Department of Tourism , said that Hue tourism industry this year "won big" compared to last year's Tet holiday.

Accordingly, during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, it is estimated that the number of visitors to Hue city will reach more than 150,342, an increase of 36.67% over the same period of the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday.

Of which, international visitors are estimated at 69,062 arrivals, an increase of 81% over the same period in 2024; domestic visitors are estimated at 81,280 arrivals, an increase of 12.98% over the same period.

Revenue from tourism during Tet this year is estimated at 245 billion VND, an increase of 48.48% compared to 2024.

The number of visitors staying in Hue is about 71,110, an increase of 29.3% compared to the same period of the Lunar New Year (of which international visitors are estimated at 33,451, an increase of 7.9% compared to the same period; domestic visitors are estimated at 37,659, an increase of 56.9% compared to the same period). Room occupancy is estimated at 68%.

From the 2nd to the 4th day of Tet, room occupancy rates at some 4-5 star hotels reached over 80%.

Ms. Tram also said that during Tet, Phu Bai Airport welcomed and served about 112,500 passengers (67,500 arrivals and 45,000 departures) of nearly 300 flights.

To achieve such figures, Ms. Tram said that the tourism industry has made every effort to organize safe traditional Tet celebrations, arrange interactive tours, and experience traditional culture to welcome visitors to Hue city.

Travel agencies also organize tours for tourists to experience folk games imbued with traditional Tet culture - Hue; services for renting traditional Ao Dai for taking souvenir photos at famous tourist attractions in Hue city are also promoted...

One of the notable highlights attracting tourists to Hue is that in the past year, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center has completed the restoration of many important works, putting them into service for tourists such as Thai Hoa Palace, Kien Trung Palace, organizing the Royal Tet...

"Tourism, service and travel activities at the beginning of the year have had positive changes. Localities, units and businesses organize entertainment activities to serve the needs of sightseeing, shopping, resting, enjoying spring, and attending festivals of tourists at the units. Tourists responded, participated enthusiastically and demonstrated the role of friendly and hospitable hosts," said Ms. Tram.
