On the morning of February 5, the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa town organized a flower boat festival and boat racing on Dinh River, with the participation of thousands of people and tourists.

This year, the festival takes place with two competitions including a flower boat parade and a traditional boat race.

In particular, the flower boat parade competition has the participation of 28 boats representing communes and wards in the area, the traditional boat racing competition takes place with the events of men's doubles, men's singles, and mixed doubles.

Ms. Phan Hai Thoai - Vice Chairman of Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee - said that this is the 8th time the festival has been held, aiming to bring a joyful atmosphere, create solidarity among the people, and start a new spring with lots of luck and peace.

Under the gentle Dinh River, the flower boat competition created a brilliant space with splendidly decorated boats, showing the characteristics of each participating unit.

Meanwhile, amid the cheers of the audience, the boat race took place in an exciting atmosphere, the teams competed fiercely, the rowers were determined to race to the finish line.

At the end of the festival, the organizing committee awarded prizes to the teams, including 1 consolation prize, 1 third prize, 1 second prize and 1 first prize. The Ninh Ha ward team excellently won the first prize with high achievements in all competition categories.
