Facebook outage brings 'positive value' to Vietnamese users

Millions of Facebook, Instagram and Messenger users around the world were suddenly "kicked" out of these platforms and unable to log back in last night, March 5.

Many users reported that Facebook automatically logged them out without the option to log back in and this issue occurred on both the Facebook app and website.

The cause of the outage has not yet been confirmed.

Responding to reporters' questions about whether Facebook's downtime would affect Vietnam, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Security Tran Quang Hung said that besides Facebook, Vietnam has a platform that is heavily affected and even used by many people, Zalo.

Facebook's network outage is also a "good sign," not because Vietnam has a social network to share information, but more importantly, after the incident, users of this cross-border social network will be "startled" not knowing whether they are victims of hackers or not, and at the same time, people will be more aware of changing their passwords; creating two-step security to prevent. Therefore, Facebook's network outage from another perspective brings "positive value" to Vietnamese users.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Information Security Tran Quang Hung, many users currently depend heavily on social networking platforms. If they do not have/do not use account security measures, most of them will lose their accounts./.
