The VPBank K-Star Spark in Vietnam 2025 music festival took place on the evening of June 21 at My Dinh Stadium ( Hanoi ) with the participation of "K-pop king" G-Dragon, CL (former leader of 2NE1), Tempest, DPR IAN, tripleS and Quang Hung MasterD.
This is the first time in 12 years that G-Dragon has returned to Vietnam since performing at Phu Tho Stadium with Big Bang in 2016, so it has received a lot of attention from the fan community in Vietnam.

Vietnamese fans play big, who can play back?
The weather in Hanoi on June 21 cooled down but the atmosphere gradually heated up when images of K-pop idols appeared on many streets of Hanoi.
Before the G-hour, the fandoms of G-Dragon, Tempest, Hanbin (Tempest) including Chi Long Vietnam Fanpage (nearly 500,000 followers), HubiLand - for Hanbin Ngo Ngoc Hung (nearly 8,000 followers), TPSTvn - Tempest Vietnam Fanpage (more than 31,000 followers) from Hanoi Opera House rented three buses and a convertible car as a roadshow car running through the streets of Hanoi to welcome the idols to Vietnam.
This is a form of mobile advertising on the street to promote events and fan idols.
Hong Nhung - one of the admins of TPSTvn - Tempest Vietnam Fanpage - shared with Tuoi Tre Online that she is working in Japan. However, when she heard about the big concert, Nhung planned to go to visit her idol with her fan group, and also visit home.
Witnessing Tempest from the early days until today, Nhung said that fans feel "very proud". Last night, Tempest "caused a storm" in the Hoan Kiem Lake area, fans felt that the group was so cute and close.

She added that the admin group has 8 people, living in many places such as Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Hue, Da Nang and Japan, but are all present at the event.
The food truck idea was proposed by the members a month in advance. On the fanpage, the group called on fans to contribute voluntarily, those who have money can donate money, those who don't can contribute their efforts and spirit to create memorable memories.
Nhung revealed that the TPSTvn fan club - Tempest Vietnam Fanpage spent 34 million VND to rent a roadshow car to promote their idol.
G-Dragon has a lot of fans because he is "very lovable", very cute and adorable.

That same afternoon, fans flocked to My Dinh Stadium in increasing numbers to check in. Looking at the costumes and accompanying items, it can be seen that G-Dragon's fans are very numerous.
From Hai Phong, Le Anh Truong (27 years old) went to Hanoi with friends last night.
Truong said he has loved G-Dragon since 2009. He was still young at that time, but as soon as he saw his idol, he fell madly in love. Truong knew all of his idol's songs by heart.
"When I heard that you were going to perform, I was so happy I wanted to cry. Breathing the same air as you has been my dream for a long time, so this time, I'm determined to make it happen," Truong told Tuoi Tre Online .
9x shared more "hearing the weather forecast tonight there is a high chance of heavy rain but it's okay. If it rains, I will still party hard because this opportunity doesn't come every time".
Meanwhile, a group of friends, Thuy Trang, Yen Phuong, and Nhu Y (all 31 years old), flew here from Ho Chi Minh City. They said they were "addicted to and had a crush on G-Dragon since they were little until they got married and had children. This time, their husbands even bought tickets for them to go to Hanoi to follow their idol."
All three like the "K-pop king" because of his personality, talent, style and relentless efforts.

"I'm old, but every song I release is a hit. I have a loyal fan base. If I didn't have talent, my fans would only last for a short time," Nhu Y said.
The total cost for each of them to "follow" their idol is about 20 million VND, including concert tickets, plane tickets, hotel rental, lightsticks, transportation, food... "A bit high but worth it," the three friends said.
Also from Ho Chi Minh City, Van Tu Minh (29 years old) was able to check in at the gate of the VPBank K-Star Spark in Vietnam 2025 music festival. Minh jokingly said that she could fly with "Mr. Dragon" to go back to Korea with him.

Everyone had a partner, but Nguyen Thi Lan (33 years old, Hanoi) went alone. Lan said she liked G-Dragon since she was a child. In her mind, her idol is a "boring" person, sings well, dances well, looks cool but is "cute" and has no way out. If so, being rich is out of the question.
Tonight Lan's friends also went swinging but because they couldn't get tickets together, "we'll swing wherever we stand". Lan said "today I'm going swinging alone, and I'm still swinging hard by myself".
