Nearly 11,200 candidates in Hanoi took the entrance exam to grade 10 of specialized high schools.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi city has 4 high schools enrolling students in specialized grade 10, including: Hanoi-Amsterdam Specialized School, Nguyen Hue Specialized School, Chu Van An and Son Tay.

On the morning of June 10, from 8:00 a.m., candidates in Hanoi city will take the entrance exam for grade 10 of the specialized high school system for the 2024-2025 school year. The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has arranged 19 testing locations.

On the morning of June 10, candidates will take exams in specialized subjects: Literature, Math, Information Technology, Biology (150 minutes) and French, German, Japanese, Korean (alternative subjects) in 120 minutes.

On the afternoon of June 10, candidates will take exams in specialized subjects: Physics, History, Geography (150 minutes) and Chemistry, English (120 minutes).

In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi city has 4 high schools enrolling students in specialized grade 10, including: Hanoi-Amsterdam Specialized School, Nguyen Hue Specialized School, Chu Van An and Son Tay. Each student can choose up to 2 out of 4 schools to register for admission.

Previously, on June 8 and 9, candidates took the exam in 3 subjects: Literature, Foreign Language and Mathematics in the entrance exam for non-specialized public high schools. These are 3 compulsory exams for all candidates registering for admission to specialized 10th grade in the 2024-2025 school year. The admission score is equal to the total score of non-specialized exams (coefficient 1) + specialized exam score (coefficient 2).

The whole city has nearly 11,200 candidates registered for the 10th grade entrance exam of these 4 specialized high schools. Among them, Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has 2,834 candidates registered; Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted has 4,335 candidates registered; Chu Van An High School has 2,840 candidates registered; Son Tay High School has 1,182 candidates registered./.
