In addition, students are also educated to raise awareness about eye care and prevention of eye diseases, including refractive errors in schools, through changing appropriate living and studying habits.
Previously, with the aim of improving the eye care capacity of the primary health care system, the Eye Hospital trained the primary health care staff of Hai Lang district on refractive errors and common pediatric eye diseases, and instructed them on vision screening skills for children. At the same time, it provided basic ophthalmological equipment to the primary health care system of Hai Lang district.
With the rate of students suffering from refractive errors at school increasing as it is today, the free refractive error examination for students implemented by the Eye Hospital and sponsored programs and projects brings a lot of meaning in contributing to maintaining healthy eyes, improving the quality of study as well as improving school health.
