Meeting with Ha Tinh delegation attending the Vietnam Trade Union Congress

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung hopes that Ha Tinh delegates will convey the thoughts and expectations of union members and workers of the province to the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.

On the afternoon of November 23, the Provincial Federation of Labor held a meeting with the delegation attending the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023 - 2028.

Attending the meeting were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung and representatives of departments, branches and sectors.

The 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023 - 2028, was held for 3 days (from December 1 - 3, 2023) in Hanoi capital.

The congress was attended by 1,100 official delegates, representing 11 million union members nationwide. This is an important political event of the working class, the Vietnam Trade Union, and a broad political activity among cadres, union members, and workers nationwide.

The Congress has the task of evaluating the implementation results of the Resolution of the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; determining the goals and tasks for the 2023-2028 term; reviewing the leadership and direction of the Executive Committee of the 12th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, electing the Executive Committee of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; evaluating the implementation and approving the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union (amended and supplemented).

Within the framework of the congress program, delegates will participate in many activities and thematic discussion forums to exchange and propose initiatives for major issues facing trade union organizations in the new period.

The Ha Tinh delegation attending the congress has 11 comrades, representing more than 70,000 union members in the province. Among them, there are 3 female delegates, 8 male delegates; 10 delegates are party members. These are typical faces, with many contributions and dedication to the workers' and labor movements and trade union activities.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung requested the delegation to strictly implement the regulations of the congress; actively contribute opinions to the congress documents and at the discussion forums; at the same time, convey the thoughts and expectations of union members and workers of the province to the congress.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also hoped that the delegation would bring to the congress the spirit, momentum, and socio-economic development results of the province; spread good practices and creative models of the Ha Tinh Trade Union; and learn from the operational experiences of trade unions in other provinces...

Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Van Danh represented the delegation to receive instructions.

On behalf of the delegation of Ha Tinh province, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Van Danh seriously accepted the direction of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and promised to promote the spirit of responsibility, actively participate in discussion groups, clearly express the opinions and voices of union members and workers of the province, and make worthy contributions to the success of the congress.

The delegation will seriously absorb all the opinions and directions at the congress and consider this as a direction to improve and supplement the development direction for trade union activities and the workers' and laborers' movement; spreading the spirit of the congress to union members and laborers in the province.
