Meeting with overseas Vietnamese and their relatives on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025

On the morning of January 17, in Buon Ma Thuot City, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized the "Spring Homeland" program to meet overseas Vietnamese and their relatives on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Attending the meeting were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha; representatives of relevant departments and branches; and more than 100 overseas Vietnamese and their relatives residing in countries and territories around the world who came to visit their families on the occasion of the traditional New Year of the nation.

Over the years, our overseas Vietnamese have united, strived, overcome difficulties, stabilized their lives and the community; on the other hand, they have also promoted the tradition of patriotism, solidarity, and attachment to their roots, homeland, and country, through concrete actions towards the Fatherland, contributing intelligence, effort, and material, investing in production and business activities, supporting families and relatives to actively participate in gratitude movements, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, help people affected by natural disasters and fires, and implement social security.

In a warm and intimate atmosphere, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha happily and warmly welcomed overseas Vietnamese and their relatives who returned to celebrate the traditional New Year of the nation. He briefly informed about the achievements in socio -economic development and ensuring national security and defense in the province in 2024. At the same time, he acknowledged and sincerely thanked the positive contributions of overseas Vietnamese and their relatives to the country in general and to the homeland of Dak Lak in particular.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also affirmed that the achievements of the province demonstrate the great strength of the spirit of great national unity, creating a solid foundation, contributing to strengthening confidence, arousing patriotism, national pride and creating favorable conditions for the children of Vietnam to continue to join hands and firmly step on the path of innovation.

Representatives of overseas Vietnamese and their relatives expressed surprise and joy at the dramatic changes when they returned to their homeland; and thanked the local leaders for their concern, warm welcome, and respect for overseas Vietnamese. That is the motivation and belief for overseas Vietnamese to always turn to their homeland with their responsibilities, contributing to the country's development.

Meeting overseas Vietnamese and their relatives on the occasion of the traditional New Year is an annual activity to arouse patriotism, national pride, preserve and promote traditional cultural identity in the overseas Vietnamese community; at the same time, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of overseas Vietnamese and their relatives to gather proposals and recommendations to the Party and State to build guidelines, policies and laws related to overseas Vietnamese in accordance with the new situation.
