Gemini gets more power with a series of new features

In April this year, Google launched an artificial intelligence (AI) photo editing feature in the Gemini app.

While this feature offers many benefits, it still has some limitations that affect the Gemini user experience, such as inconsistencies in the subject's appearance between photos.

To address this issue, Google has just announced a new update with many improvements and exciting features. The new update focuses on maintaining consistency in images when editing. As a result, when users edit a photo, the similarity between images will now be guaranteed regardless of the number of edits.

Google also introduced some new features in the editor. One of the highlights is the change of clothes and location. When users upload a photo of a person or animal, the subject will keep the same appearance regardless of the change of clothes or setting.

Introducing the ability to change costumes and locations

Another newly added feature allows users to combine multiple photos to create a new image. For example, a user can ask to create an image of a woman hugging a dog on a basketball court from two separate photos.

The update also includes multi-pass editing, allowing for successive edits without having to start from scratch. For example, users can upload a photo of a room, ask for the walls to be painted pink, then add bookshelves and furniture.

Finally, the design color scheme technique allows the style of one image to be applied to an object in another image. For example, a petal style can be applied to boots or a butterfly image to a dress.

Once the edit is complete, the image will have a watermark in the corner to indicate that it was generated by AI, alongside Google's invisible SynthID watermark. These watermarks will appear on all images created or edited in the Gemini app.

Google says Gemini users can experience these new features starting today without having to wait long.
