Domestic coffee prices today September 23, 2025
Coffee prices today, September 23, the coffee market in the Central Highlands provinces recorded a vibrant price increase session.
Coffee in Dak Lak has an average price of 112,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND.
In Dak Nong and Lam Dong alone, coffee prices increased sharply by 700 VND, reaching 112,200 VND/kg and 111,500 VND/kg, respectively.
Meanwhile, coffee prices in Gia Lai were not far behind, increasing by 600 VND, closing at 111,800 VND/kg.
The increase comes amid a rather gloomy domestic trading environment. Many businesses and traders are waiting for clearer information as the new harvest season in the Central Highlands is about to begin. However, the price increase could stimulate some trading activities.
According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), the 2025/26 coffee crop is forecast to be unpredictable with many uncertain factors. Although prices may continue to fluctuate within a narrow range, the upcoming outlook may still be affected by many factors.
Vietnam’s coffee output in the 2025/26 crop year could reach 31 million bags, up significantly from the previous year, the largest harvest since 2021/22, which could help offset the global shortage and put downward pressure on prices, according to the USDA.
In August 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 84.1 thousand tons, down from July but still up from the same period in 2024. Notably, the average export price reached 5,472 USD/ton, a sharp increase compared to the previous year, showing that Vietnamese coffee is still highly valued in the market.
Factors such as US trade policy and weather conditions in Brazil will continue to be the main drivers of prices. However, if Robusta inventories remain low and there is more negative news about production, coffee prices could break out again.
