Pig price in the North today remains stable

The pig market in the North today recorded no new changes in price.

Currently, the provinces of Lao Cai, Nam Dinh , Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho and Ninh Binh continue to anchor at 57,000 VND/kg - the lowest in the region.

The highest transaction price recorded in Hanoi was 59,000 VND/kg.

The remaining provinces and cities in the region maintained stable purchasing prices at 58,000 VND/kg.

Pig price today in the North is around 57,000 - 59,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the whole Bac Giang province has a total herd of about 900,000 pigs, 20.5 million poultry, and 129,000 buffalo and cows. According to Mr. Hoang Van Du, Deputy Head of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), the changing of seasons and high humidity create favorable conditions for pathogens to develop, affecting the resistance of livestock. At the same time, many livestock have expired their immunity after vaccination or have not been vaccinated, so the risk of spreading and infecting pathogens is high, especially avian influenza, African swine fever, lumpy skin disease in cattle and buffalo, rabies in dogs and cats...

With the motto of prevention is better than cure, good implementation of hygiene and disinfection is an important initial solution in disease prevention and control, protecting the safety of livestock and the health of the whole community. Therefore, veterinary hygiene work needs to be strengthened and carried out regularly and periodically, closely linked to the production activities of livestock farmers.

Measures must ensure safety for people and animals, and be implemented simultaneously in households and localities. In particular, for households with previously infected animals, it is necessary to renovate barns, collect waste, and thoroughly treat it by burning, burying, and using chemicals and lime powder to disinfect.

Pig prices today in the Central and Central Highlands regions are relatively stable.

According to records, pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions do not have many new fluctuations.

Traders in most provinces are purchasing live pigs at an average price of around VND58,000/kg.

In Lam Dong province, it is currently anchored at 60,000 VND/kg, a slight increase in price.

The remaining localities have prices unchanged compared to yesterday.

Pig prices in the Southern region remain stable.

In the Southern region, pig prices also remained stable across the board.

Accordingly, the highest price of live pigs in the region is currently in the two provinces of Vinh Long and Kien Giang at 61,000 VND/kg.

Except for Tra Vinh, which is anchored at the lowest level of 57,000 VND/kg, the remaining provinces and cities in the region are still trading stably in the range of 58,000 - 60,000 VND/kg.
