Foreign investors and self-employed continued to net sell in the session on October 2.

In the trading session on October 2, red dominated the Vietnamese stock market. Although banking stocks and large-cap stocks maintained market traction, selling pressure from foreign investors and self-employed traders caused the VN-Index to close down 12.34 points (-0.74%), down to 1,652.71 points.

Market liquidity increased slightly compared to yesterday's session, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 879 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND24,543 billion.

Foreign investors continued to net sell on all 3 floors more than 2,300 billion VND, focusing on codes VHM (239.07 billion VND),FPT (234.35 billion VND), VPB (221.72 billion VND), STB (172.82 billion VND), MWG (136.6 billion VND)...

In the opposite direction, the stocks with the most net purchases in this session included LPB (26.11 billion VND), CTD (17.71 billion VND), CII (14.3 billion VND), TCB (13.98 billion VND), VJC (12.83 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session increased compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 20,844 billion.

This session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by 3.04 points included: VIC, MBB, TCB, LPB, VJC, PGV, BID, MSN, OCB,SHB .

On the contrary, the codes that negatively impacted the VN-Index by 7.7 points included: VHM, VPB, VRE, VCB, FPT, GVR, STB, VNM, GEX, HPG.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks performed negatively, down 1.26%, mainly from FPT, ITD, HPT... Some codes increased including CMG, ELC, CMT.

The group of securities stocks traded in red, down 1.88%, mainly from codes SSI, VIX, VND, VCI, SHS, MBS, HCM, FTS, BSI, DSE, CTS... On the contrary, a few codes increased including FUEVFVND, TCI, BMS, FUESSVFL, CSI...

This session, the majority of banking stocks were red, down 0.25%, mainly from VCB, VPB,ACB , HDB, STB, VIB, SSB, TPB, EIB... Increasing codes include TCB, BID, MBB, LPB, SHB, MSB, OCB...

The real estate stock group this session recorded a decrease of 1.14%, mainly from codes VHM, VRE, BCM, KDH, KBC, SSH, NVL, KSF, PDR, DXG... On the contrary, a few codes increased including VIC, SJS, CRE, VC3, AGG...

Energy stocks traded mainly in red and closed down 0.2%, mainly from codes PLX, PVS, PVD, OIL, VTO, VIP, GSP... Some codes increased including BSR, MVB, PVP, TMB, CLM, PVB, POS...

The group of raw material stocks this session recorded a decrease of 1.07%, mainly from codes HPG, GVR, DGC, KSV, DCM, DPM, HSG, PHR, NKG... On the contrary, the codes that increased included MSR, NTP, HT1, ACG, DDV...

Insurance stocks this session were mostly red, down 1.16%, mainly from codes BVH, PVI, PTI, PGI, ABI, BHI... Some codes increased including MIG, BMI...

Retail stocks this session leaned towards red, down 0.99%, mainly from codes MWG, PNJ, FRT, HUT, DGW, HHS, HAX... On the contrary, increasing codes included PET, VVS, PEG, PSD, STH...

* The Vietnamese stock market index closed in red today, VNXALL-Index closed down 25.75 points (-0.9%), to 2,849.42 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 809.24 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 23,452.72 billion. In the whole market, there were 95 stocks increasing in price, 84 stocks remaining unchanged and 271 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 269.55 points, down 3.67 points (-1.34%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 74.54 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 1,539.91 billion. In the whole market, there were 43 stocks increasing in price, 71 stocks remaining unchanged and 95 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 12.52 points (-2.11%), stopping at 582.07 points. Trading volume reached over 45.6 million units, equivalent to over VND1,235.77 billion. In the whole market, there were 8 stocks increasing in price, 5 stocks remaining unchanged and 17 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index remained at the previous session's level of 109.79 points. Market liquidity, total trading volume reached over 23.53 million shares, corresponding trading value reached over VND341.45 billion. In the whole market, there were 104 stocks increasing in price, 90 stocks remaining unchanged and 122 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 12.34 points (-0.74%), down to 1,652.71 points. Liquidity reached over 781.18 million units, equivalent to a trading value of over VND22,661.7 billion. The entire floor had 84 stocks increasing, 42 stocks remaining unchanged and 243 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 10.83 points (-0.58%) and stopped at 1,859.8 points. Liquidity reached more than 345.3 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 12,542.49 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 9 stocks increasing, 1 stock remaining unchanged and 20 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are SHB (over 63.66 million units), MBB (over 44.08 million units), TCB (over 16.25 million units), MSB (over 11.27 million units), BSR (over 4.6 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are VMD (+6.98%), NAF (+6.96%), LSS (+6.9%), TNI (+6.85%), CCI (+6.85%).
