Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung re-elected Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee

(Dan Tri) - The 20th term of the Nghe An Provincial Party Executive Committee's 10th Conference elected the Provincial Party Standing Committee. Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung was re-elected as Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

On the afternoon of October 2, the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term XX, 2025-2030, held its first conference.

Attending the Conference were Mr. Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Internal Affairs Commission; Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission and representatives of the Party Central Committee's commissions.

The conference elected the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for the new term, consisting of 17 members. Delegates also voted to elect the Provincial Party Secretary, 3 Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee and 11 members of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 20th term, 2025-2030 term.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung was re-elected as Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 20th term, 2025-2030. The Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee are Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu, Mr. Le Hong Vinh and Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung (born 1974, from Thanh Hoa province), master's degree in political economy .

Mr. Trung has held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province since March 2020.

From November 2024 to January 2025, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung was elected by the Party Executive Committee of Nghe An province to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2025 term.

From January to October 2025, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung held the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung held the following positions: Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Head of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy, Head of the Department of Infrastructure and Urban Areas, and Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.
