The tournament aims to strengthen international cooperation, promote cultural and sports exchanges between police forces of various countries, and at the same time improve physical strength and solidarity in the armed forces.
The most anticipated match on the opening day was the match between the People's Public Security (CAND) and the Indonesian Police. While CAND (represented by the Ho Chi Minh City Police volleyball team) just topped the first stage of the 2025 National Championship and finished second in the 2025 Hung Vuong Cup, the Indonesian Police team - represented by the Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi Club - JBP - also possesses a strong force with many national players. JBP once reached the semi-finals of the 2023 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship and was the national champion of Indonesia in 2024 and 2025.
Dutch foreign player Ter Horst (2.02 m tall) has not adapted well to CAND's playing style.
Facing a very strong opponent, Coach Duong Tan Vinh of CAND used the strongest lineup from the beginning. The home team had to compete for every point with the Indonesian Police team but lost the first 20-25 games. The second game was similar when the team from the archipelago continued to take the initiative, continuously widening the gap with the opponent, sometimes up to 10 points. Breaking away at the end of the game, Coach Reidel Gonzales Toiran's team won with a score of 25-17.
Indonesian police dominated the game against host CAND
Continuing the momentum, the Indonesian Police team played well in the third game, leading the People's Public Security team. However, Coach Duong Tan Vinh's students did not give up, playing hard to continuously score points, keeping the score close to 23-24. In the end, the Indonesian Police team won the final score 25-23.
Indonesian police win after three rounds
Previously, in the first match, the Army team (represented by Tan Cang The Cong Club) lost to the Cambodian Ministry of Interior with a score of 1-3. The Cambodian Ministry of Interior team has a squad of very high-quality players, with ideal heights such as Henry Jose (2.12 m), Sarun (2.01 m), Nimul (1.94 m)... taking advantage in the attacks, completely overwhelming the Army team despite Tu Thanh Thuan, Phan Cong Duc, Cao Duc Hoang. In the end, the Cambodian Ministry of Interior team won the Army with a score of 3-1 (28-26, 25-23, 22-25 and 25-21).
