Teachers hope to live on their salaries.
According to Ms. Ngo Thu Huong (36 years old, Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi ), low salary is one of the reasons why thousands of teachers "leave". Those who choose to stay in the profession are also struggling with the burden of making a living every day.
Most teachers agree that teaching is a profession that seems very glamorous to outsiders, but only those in the profession understand the hardships and fatigue while the salary is low, not enough to cover living expenses.
They have to do all kinds of extra work, don't mind staying up late or waking up early, but the salary they earn is "not enough". Many teachers have decades of experience in the profession, but the salary they receive is not enough to send their children to university.

"Untie" to do many jobs
Ms. Nguyen Hong Hanh (43 years old, teacher in Binh Thuan ) shared that, in addition to their professional teaching job, most teachers have to take on other jobs, typically being a homeroom teacher. Being a teacher is already stressful, being a homeroom teacher is many times more stressful.
Homeroom teachers are no different from nannies. From daily activities, lifestyle to children's studies, parents "press" homeroom teachers to "question".
In addition, Ms. Hanh also compared homeroom teachers to scriptwriters, choreographers... because they have to prepare dozens of side tasks before each extracurricular program or student activity. If teachers can focus on their expertise, teaching efficiency will certainly be higher, and teachers will also love the path they have chosen more instead of worrying "should I leave the industry or not because there is too much pressure surrounding me?".
In addition, the ranking of professional titles also causes unnecessary problems. Because teachers have the same professional qualifications, undertake the same work and bear the same responsibilities but are at different high and low ranks.

Reduce the burden of achievement
This is the heavy heart of Ms. La Thanh Thao (35 years old, Long Bien, Hanoi). In addition to low salary, every year, Ms. Thao also has to face dozens of big and small exams, from professional fields to non-professional competitions such as law, traffic, union exams... In addition to directly participating, teachers also have to guide students to complete the exam to submit.
In addition, with the burden of competition, teachers are almost exhausted when having to bear the pressure from the year-end report card results, students' exams, especially the 10th grade entrance exam.
Teachers have to shoulder the responsibility of making sure all students in the class pass the exam, pass their first choice, and ensure a high passing rate for the whole school.
The 10th grade entrance exam results are an important criterion for ranking the quality of education of the school. If the teacher himself does not meet the assigned targets, the school and colleagues will evaluate his professional capacity.
Teaching integrated subjects
Ms. Than Thu Hang (35 years old, History teacher in Ninh Binh) hopes to be assigned to the same subject as before. This is to help ensure the quality of education, moreover, many people see her complaining that it is difficult to take on more subjects.
She believes that it is very difficult for a teacher to teach three subjects, in addition to the requirements of knowledge and expertise, each person has their own passion. A teacher can only be good at one subject, one field, not good at everything. If before applying the new general education program and textbooks, teachers were properly trained to meet all three fields, teaching would be better.
As a History teacher, when switching to integrated teaching, Ms. Hang was confused because she could not imagine how she would teach or prepare lesson plans. Therefore, this teacher hopes that the Ministry needs to reconsider the teaching of integrated subjects.
The new lesson plan is too cumbersome.
Mr. Phan Chien (44 years old, a Literature teacher in the Central region) feels that teachers are under too much pressure to prepare lesson plans according to document 5555. He assessed that the new lesson plans are "extremely long", and many times teachers do not look at them to teach but still have to prepare all the steps. This regulation not only wastes teachers' time but also does not achieve high practical efficiency.
According to this teacher, each regulation needs to be based on the actual situation and needs, not just set up for the sake of it, without taking into account the problems in implementation, causing difficulties and problems for teachers, affecting teaching work.
The dialogue between the Minister of Education and Training and teachers includes 2 sessions: Session 1 dialogue with general teachers and session 2 dialogue with lecturers and scientists.
The content of the dialogue revolved around three main issues. First, the management and direction of the Ministry of Education and Training. Second, the difficulties and emergencies in teaching, salaries and allowances for teachers. Third, the solutions of the Minister and the Ministry of Education and Training for the problems that have existed in the past.
The dialogue will be held directly at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Training and connected to 63 online bridges across the country. This is a forum for teachers to share their thoughts, aspirations and initiatives to improve the education sector and make it an ideal working environment.
