Head of the Sverdlovsk Province Department of International Relations and Foreign Economic Relations Vyacheslav Yarin presented to Consul General Nguyen Mai Huong a congratulatory letter from Deputy Governor of Sverdlovsk Province VVKozlov, which affirmed that September 2, 1945 marked an important milestone in Vietnam's history, the day Vietnam officially affirmed its sovereignty, independence and freedom. Sverdlovsk Province always wishes to promote cooperation with Vietnamese localities, promote cultural exchange and people-to-people exchanges, hoping that the two sides can exploit potential areas of cooperation such as industry, construction and high technology. The Sverdlovsk Provincial Government affirmed that it always treasures and preserves the precious relics and evidence of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia. On this occasion, Mr. Yarin personally presented Consul General Nguyen Mai Huong with a photo book about President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Sverdlovsk Province 70 years ago in 1955.

Mayor of Ekaterinburg City AV Orlov also sent a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, affirming that the relationship between Vietnam and Russia is constantly developing and that Ekaterinburg City hopes that the two sides can soon implement multilateral cooperation projects in the near future.

The ceremony took place in a friendly, solemn atmosphere, imbued with cultural identity. On this occasion, the Consulate General organized a photo exhibition about the land and people of Vietnam.

* Previously, on September 17, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Ekaterinburg city and representatives of associations visited the Uralmash factory, which 70 years ago had the honor of welcoming Uncle Ho to visit, and is now one of the largest heavy industrial product factories in Russia and also a source of machinery and equipment to Vietnam.

The Uralmash Plant History Museum still solemnly preserves photos of President Ho Chi Minh's visit and his handwriting in the guestbook. He wrote: "We are very happy to visit the Uralmash plant and witness its great achievements in building communism. I wish you all continued progress."

It can be imagined that 70 years ago, right here, President Ho Chi Minh expressed his deep admiration for the creativity, hard work and scientific and technological achievements of the Soviet people, of which the Uralmash Plant is a living proof. Consul General Nguyen Mai Huong affirmed that Vietnam is always grateful for the valuable support of the Soviet Union and Russia in the past struggle to defend the Fatherland and develop the country later, and thanked the factory's leadership for their efforts to preserve the beautiful historical memories of the Vietnamese and Russian peoples. Future generations of the two peoples need to continue to inherit the tradition and foster the friendship and cooperation between the two peoples, preserving this heritage from fading over time.
