On September 16, Kim Dong Publishing House coordinated with Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association to organize a meeting with authors writing for children and introduce the Kim Dong Literature Award.

At the program, the representative of Kim Dong Publishing House informed: Over the past 65 years of establishment (since 1957), the literary works of the Publishing House have nurtured good cultural and spiritual values as well as cultivated the souls and personalities of many generations of young Vietnamese readers. Many creative writing campaigns for children have been organized by Kim Dong Publishing House to search for, promote and encourage authors to write more for Vietnamese young readers.

With the desire to discover more talented writers for children, to have more new, quality literary works, conveying many meaningful messages about the people and country of Vietnam, Kim Dong Publishing House announces the award for works for children named after Kim Dong.

This is the first time the Kim Dong Literature Award has been organized, in conjunction with the creative campaign for children in the period 2023 - 2025, for all professional and non-professional writers, with 3 genres: short stories, novels and poems. The entries are aimed at children (6-10 years old) and teenagers (11-15 years old). The total value of the prize is 360 million VND. The deadline for receiving works is from June 17, 2023 to March 31, 2025.
