Hanoi unexpectedly leads in English exam scores, Dien Bien top 4

(Dan Tri) - The 2025 high school graduation exam scores for English surprisingly no longer have an elephant's back.

According to the score distribution announced by the Ministry of Education and Training , the average score for English is 5.38. The whole country has 141 scores of 10. The score of 2 is 0 points.

Notably, the English subject score disappeared from the elephant's back shape, replaced by an ideal pyramid shape.

Professor Nguyen Dinh Duc said that this score range shows that "English is no longer a problem for candidates". Students who choose English are those who have strengths in this subject.

"At first, candidates and parents reacted that it was too difficult, but the English results showed that it was suitable," said Professor Duc.

Notably, in the list of 10 provinces with the highest average English scores, Dien Bien province appeared in 4th place. Hanoi led this top for the first time, followed by Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Hai Phong, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa.
