Hanoi sets deadline for completion of detailed planning to renovate 3 large apartment complexes

Hanoi City finalizes detailed planning for renovation of Thanh Cong, Ngoc Khanh, and Giang Vo apartment complexes in December 2024

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a notice conveying the conclusion of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan on the implementation of the Project to renovate and rebuild old apartment buildings.

Hanoi is implementing a project to renovate and rebuild old apartment buildings in the area.

Accordingly, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested to strengthen the leadership and direction from Party committees, authorities and heads of units to speed up the progress of research, submission and approval of detailed planning and master plan for renovation of old apartment buildings. This is the basis for implementing other contents according to regulations.

The Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture was assigned to speed up the planning process and resolve the request of Ha Dong district regarding the adjustment of the H2-4 urban zoning plan in the Nguyen Trai area.

The Department of Construction, as the standing member of the Steering Committee, must strengthen guidance, inspection, and support for districts to implement plans for synchronous and flexible renovation of apartment buildings. At the same time, the Department also needs to review and supplement the list of apartment buildings that need renovation.

The People's Committees of the districts are assigned specific tasks. Ba Dinh District must complete the detailed planning for the renovation of Thanh Cong, Ngoc Khanh, and Giang Vo areas by December 2024. Dong Da District must submit the planning for Kim Lien, Trung Tu, and Hao Nam areas for approval in the first quarter of 2025 and complete the approval of the apartment project at 51 Huynh Thuc Khang before the end of 2024.

Similarly, Thanh Xuan and Cau Giay districts need to submit plans for renovating Thanh Xuan Bac, Thanh Xuan Nam areas and Nghia Tan collective housing area before the end of 2024. Hoan Kiem and Hai Ba Trung districts must also promote projects to renovate independent and single-family apartments in the area.

Hai Ba Trung District studies and proposes a plan to renovate and rebuild apartment building No. 33 Nguyen Binh Khiem on the basis of developing a suitable collection and exchange project, or implementing a plan to collect independent and single apartment buildings into the area to implement the investment project to renovate and rebuild old apartment buildings.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee also emphasized the role of coordination between departments and branches in handling matters beyond their authority, ensuring the progress of renovation and reconstruction of old apartment buildings in Hanoi according to plan.
