Hanoi CDC stated that the number of cases is on the rise, recording a number of outbreaks with many patients, complicated developments, and the results of monitoring the outbreaks indicate that the insect index is at a high risk level. In the coming time, a number of epidemics in the city may increase due to complicated weather, increased travel when people from other provinces, cities, and tourists come to the city during major events and holidays in the area.
Hanoi CDC has supervised the investigation and handling of 3 high-risk areas and dengue fever outbreaks, including: The outbreak at groups 3 and 4, Thuy Khue, Tay Ho - identified on August 26, recorded 3 patients, the outbreak has been handled once; the outbreak at Gia Khanh village, Thuong Phuc - identified on August 25, recorded 5 patients; the outbreak at village 1, Giang Cao, Bat Trang - identified on August 27, recorded 2 patients.
Next week, Hanoi CDC will conduct patient surveillance at decentralized medical facilities, on software systems and in the community, to promptly investigate and handle cases and outbreaks, preventing the disease from spreading widely.
In particular, the Hanoi CDC's mobile anti-epidemic teams will continue to be on duty at the Center (during office hours) and on standby (after office hours) until September 15 to ensure epidemic prevention and control work to serve the organization of the Socio-Economic Achievement Exhibition at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi). In addition, Hanoi CDC will strengthen medical quarantine work at Noi Bai International Airport to promptly detect suspected/infected cases of the epidemic, and apply appropriate and timely epidemic prevention and control measures./.
