Hanoi: Hoan Kiem Ward implements 2 sessions/day teaching at all schools

GD&TĐ - On September 11, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward (Hanoi) held a conference to deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year to educational institutions in the area.

According to the report of the Department of Culture and Society of Hoan Kiem ward: In the 2025-2026 school year, the first school year when the two-level local government officially comes into operation, Hoan Kiem ward has a total of 26 educational institutions with a total of 12,845 students, 938 managers, teachers and staff.

Besides the advantages, the Hoan Kiem education sector also faces difficulties in terms of facilities and the risk of falling behind in the face of rapid changes in science and technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, as well as the strong rise of new educational models and examples in Hanoi in particular and the whole country in general.

Faced with the above-mentioned practical situation, advantages and difficulties, Hoan Kiem ward has determined to focus on 8 key tasks and solutions. In which, it emphasizes the content of continuing to strengthen the conditions to ensure the quality of education.

In the coming school year, the Department will continue to advise the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward to allocate resources to invest in construction, renovation, and repair of facilities, and invest in modern and smart teaching equipment and tools. Encourage schools to build and develop open electronic learning resources, shared digital libraries, and diversify quality reference materials.

Mobilize highly qualified human resources, including artisans, artists, professional athletes, and foreign volunteers to participate in organizing educational activities in schools, especially in the fields of culture, arts, sports, and life skills.

Strengthen training and capacity development for teachers in applying information technology, artificial intelligence AI and digital transformation to effectively apply innovations in teaching methods, testing and assessment forms to improve the quality of teaching and learning activities...

Implementing the guidance on organizing 2-session teaching/day for general education in the 2025-2026 school year, schools have prepared adequate facilities and teaching staff; publicized the plan, content, and timetable for 2-session teaching/day for students, parents, and on the school's website;

Building a 2-session/day teaching plan ensures a reasonable allocation between educational contents, helping students complete their learning tasks and program requirements; creating conditions for students to study elective subjects and participate in educational activities to achieve the goal of comprehensive education.

At the conference, the Department of Culture and Society of Hoan Kiem Ward presented important contents in the guidelines for revenue and expenditure for the 2025-2026 school year. The Ward People's Committee requested educational institutions to be accountable to learners and society about the collection levels and amounts; absolutely not allowing overcharging at the beginning of the school year.
