Hanoi reorganizes traffic on a series of streets

The Hanoi Department of Construction has just requested the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board to coordinate with its affiliated units to implement work to ensure traffic safety and reduce traffic congestion in Hanoi.

Notably, the Hanoi Department of Construction requested its affiliated units to implement a plan to cut down the median strip with a length of 70m, a width of 3m in front of Taisei Tower building at 289 Khuat Duy Tien. Move technical infrastructure for trees, lighting... and move the bus stop location 150m back towards Trung Hoa intersection.

At the same time, narrow part of the traffic island on Khuat Duy Tien street at the red light stop at Trung Hoa intersection in the direction of Mai Dich, the width is narrowed to about 3.2m.

At the Do Duc Duc - Pham Hung intersection, the Hanoi Department of Construction requested to count the traffic volume turning left from Pham Hung Street to Do Duc Duc Street and the connecting route from Nam Trung Yen resettlement area to Pham Hung Street; study and adjust traffic lights to match the actual traffic volume.

On Nguyen Khoi Street (from under Thanh Tri Bridge to Vinh Tuy Bridge), signs prohibiting trucks during rush hours (morning 6:00-9:00, afternoon 16:00-19:30) from inside the border gates to Nguyen Khoi dike road at the following locations: Hanoi Port Border Gate, Dike Guard Station 18, opposite lane 670; lane 615; lane 653; lane 683).

At the Giai Phong-Le Duan-Dai Co Viet intersection, arrange a raised left-turn lane for vehicles turning left from Giai Phong to Xa Dan. Install curbs to prevent motorcyclists from entering the lane for the disabled at the traffic island on the Xa Dan side of the road.

At the May 10 - Nguyen Van Linh intersection, the Hanoi Department of Construction requested to adjust the cycle of the pedestrian crossing light system to match the traffic volume in the area to reduce congestion on the route.

For the Phap Van expressway service road area at the end of lane 15 Tran Thu Do, install mesh fences at damaged, lost and missing locations. Repair damaged guardrails and clean up the environment in the area.
