On the morning of October 27, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Tran Bao Ha and Le Ngoc Chau chaired the regular October meeting to assess the socio-economic situation in the first 10 months of 2023; deploy key tasks and solutions for the last months of the year.

Ha Tinh's socio-economic situation in the first 10 months achieved positive results in all fields. Industry regained growth momentum, the production index in the first 10 months is estimated to increase by 7.3% over the same period last year.

Trade and service activities have grown quite well. Total retail sales of goods in the first 10 months are estimated at 48,500 billion VND. Export turnover is estimated at 2.3 billion USD, up 60% over the same period last year. Agricultural production is currently focusing on planting and caring for winter crops.

Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Phan Thanh Bien reported on the socio-economic situation in the first 10 months of 2023.

Total budget revenue in the area in the first 10 months is estimated at 14,050 billion VND, reaching 74% of the estimate, equal to 91% of the same period last year. Public investment disbursement as of October 25 reached 6,404/11,299 billion VND, equal to 72.7% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister and 56.7% of the plan assigned by the province.

Investment attraction and business support activities continued to be promoted. In the past 10 months, the province established 1,005 new enterprises with a total registered capital of nearly 4,700 billion VND; approved 14 domestic investment projects with a total capital of 1,700 billion VND and 2 foreign investment projects with a total capital of 70 million USD.

Compensation, site clearance and resettlement for the North-South Expressway project have been focused on. Up to now, localities have handed over 97.7% of the site. Management of construction and environmental resources has been strengthened.

The cultural and social fields are given attention and focus with the following tasks: focusing on completing the Ha Tinh Cultural Development Project to 2030, orienting the following years; implementing tasks for the 2023-2024 school year according to plan; ensuring medical examination, treatment, and health care for the people... Social security activities are implemented promptly and effectively.

Director of the Provincial Tax Department Truong Quang Long: Domestic budget revenue for the first 10 months is estimated at 7,150 billion VND, reaching 89% of the estimate, equivalent to the revenue in the same period last year.

At the meeting, delegates reported on the results of implementing socio-economic development tasks in various fields and localities and forecasted the situation in the last months of the year.

In particular, focus on analyzing and proposing solutions to difficult and stuck problems in areas such as budget collection, investment project implementation, public investment capital disbursement, etc.
