Ha Truc Linh becomes the new Miss Vietnam 2024

After the time Postponed due to storms, on the evening of June 27, the final night of Miss Vietnam 2024 took place at the water stage, Quoc Hoc stele area ( Hue city) with the participation of 25 best contestants of this year's contest.

The program is broadcast live on VTV8 channel - Vietnam Television,FPT Play, Tien Phong electronic newspaper and digital platforms of Tien Phong newspaper, Hoang Thanh Media Joint Stock Company.

New Miss Ha Truc Linh (Candidate No. 687), born in 2004, comes from Phu Yen . She is 1.71m tall, with measurements of 75-61-92cm. Truc Linh is Miss University of Finance and Marketing 2023.

The title of 2nd Runner-up was awarded to beauty Nguyen Thi Van Nhi (Hai Phong) and the title of 1st Runner-up belonged to contestant Tran Ngoc Chau Anh from Hanoi.

Thus, Miss Vietnam 2024 was crowned and awarded 500 million VND in prize money. The first and second runners-up received prizes of 300 million and 250 million VND respectively.

After 6 months with many rounds of competition - from preliminary to national final - the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest has left its mark with professionalism, creativity and humanity. From hundreds of contestants across the country, the Organizing Committee has selected 25 outstanding contestants to enter the Miss Vietnam 2024 Final Round.

The four pillars of the Miss Vietnam contest: Beauty-Culture-Intelligence-Dedication combined with the cultural depth of the ancient capital of Hue have contributed to the prestigious position and difference of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest.

For nearly 2 months, 25 contestants have been present at the common house, focusing on practicing catwalk, performing in groups, cultivating and perfecting their knowledge and soft skills to prepare for one of the most unique final nights in the history of Miss Vietnam.

25 Miss Vietnam contestants also met and interacted with people in Hue city, participated in many social and cultural activities, especially volunteer activities, such as: Cooking for more than 300 people supporting patients and their families at Hue Central Hospital.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the final night, journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam 2024, affirmed that after 37 years of history, for the first time, Miss Vietnam was held on the banks of the Perfume River, a heritage-rich and beautiful place in Hue city.

It is a beauty of soul, intelligence, aspiration to contribute and a compassionate heart.”

Live stage on the surface of the Perfume River

The organizing committee of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest - Tien Phong newspaper and Hoang Thanh Media Joint Stock Company - in coordination with the People's Committee of Hue City and the Hue Monuments Conservation Center have prepared the best infrastructure to make the final night not only emotional, but also imbued with the historical imprint of Hue, promoting and honoring Vietnamese cultural values on the basis of contemporary creativity.

Head of the Organizing Committee of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest, journalist Phung Cong Suong, affirmed that the careful preparation and investment in both scale and quality of the final night are aimed at honoring the beauty and intelligence of Vietnamese women.

“The organizers and judges were all surprised at the remarkable maturity of the 25 contestants participating in the final round of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest. After nearly 2 months of preparation, the contestants have all improved in appearance, have carefully prepared their knowledge and behavioral skills to wait to explode and shine in the final night” - journalist Phung Cong Suong said.

The Miss Vietnam 2024 Final opened with the performance “Echo” combining sound, light and choreography. The highlight of the Miss Vietnam 2024 Final night was the live stage, inspired by the pearl on the surface of the Perfume River and the story of a shining heritage land. To realize that idea, hundreds of tons of equipment, along with a grandstand system of up to 6,000 seats, were continuously constructed by the Organizing Committee’s technical team for many days with the highest precision and safety.

Mr. Hoang Tho Ninh - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Hoang Thanh Media Joint Stock Company, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest, shared: “We expect to make a mark for the final night with an unprecedented investment in the water stage. The entire main stage is built close to the southern bank of the Perfume River, opposite Hue National School - a historical architectural symbol of the ancient capital. The path leading to the stage is hundreds of meters long, combining ironwood floors, LED lighting systems and royal-style motifs.”

First time competing in "reality TV" format

This year, for the first time, Miss Vietnam recorded a reality TV show, gathering 41 contestants into a common house, going through challenges to help the contestants reveal their beauty, talent and leave a stronger impression in the public's mind. After 6 months with many rounds of competition - from preliminary to national final - the contest has selected 25 candidates excellently entered the final night

The final night consisted of four traditional competitions: ao dai, swimsuit, evening gown and question and answer. However, the difference this year was in the staging, each competition was a “small chapter” in the big “spring garden”, told through the language of music, images and the harmony with the water stage.

The Miss Vietnam 2024 Final Night gathered many famous artists, such as: Singer Ho Ngoc Ha, People's Artist Trong Phuc, musician Tri Minh, violinist Hoang Rob, singer Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, Xuan Dinh KY, Satila Hong Vinh...

The core criteria of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest is to find the most beautiful person, not only in terms of body but also in knowledge, soul and kindness. Therefore, the Organizing Committee and the Jury have accompanied the contestants from the preliminary round to the final round. Miss Vietnam 2024 contestants are not only evaluated through their performances on stage, but also in community activities, extracurricular activities and communication.
