Thua Thien - Hue: A group of 9th grade students from Lam Mong Quang Secondary School, Vinh My Commune, Phu Loc District went swimming at the beach, one male student died, one is missing.
At about 3:50 p.m. on October 1, a group of 9th grade students went to the beach in village 3, Giang Hai commune, Phu Loc district to play and swim.
While bathing, Nguyen Huynh Phuc Thinh and Nguyen Van Hien (both 15 years old) were swept away by waves and went missing. At that time, the Giang Hai sea area had big waves after a tropical depression.

Upon receiving the news, Vinh Hien Border Guard Station mobilized 10 soldiers and local people to use boats to cast nets to search. After about 30 minutes, Hien's body was found about 20 meters from the shore.
Lieutenant Colonel Ho Xuan Trinh, Station Chief, said the unit is searching for Thinh's whereabouts.
