Serious landslide, 4 people missing in Tuyen Quang

In recent days, due to prolonged heavy rain, many dangerous landslides have occurred in the mountainous communes of Tuyen Quang province, directly affecting people's lives.

On the morning of September 30, in Ma Le village (Lung Cu commune), a serious landslide swept away the entire house of Vang Cha So (born in 1982, Ma Le village). His family has 7 members; of which, 4 people are missing: Vang Cha So (born in 1982), Hau Thi Dinh (born in 1980), Vang Xuan Hoa (born in 2003) and Vang Minh Hai (born in 2004).

Local authorities and functional forces quickly arrived to search for the missing victims and at the same time support the family to overcome immediate difficulties.

On the same day (September 30), in Lao Chai commune, heavy rain caused landslides in many places; in which the area of ​​Lao Chai Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities ( Tuyen Quang ) was severely affected. Realizing the high risk of landslides, the commune had previously decided to let students stay home from school to ensure safety. At the same time, the local government organized forces to urgently evacuate households living in vulnerable areas to safe places. Dozens of families were temporarily arranged to stay at the village cultural house and relatives' houses.

Not only in Dong Van commune, prolonged heavy rain also caused landslides on many roads in highland communes such as: Yen Minh, Bac Me, Vi Xuyen, Bac Quang... causing local traffic jams, posing a potential risk to the safety of people and vehicles. The authorities are urgently working to clear the roads.

Faced with the complicated developments of floods and rains, local authorities have increased 24/7 duty, cordoned off areas, and posted warning signs at dangerous locations; at the same time, they have also warned people to be vigilant and not to stay or travel to mountainside and stream areas.

Currently, due to prolonged heavy rains, widespread landslides have shown the dangerous level of floods in the mountainous areas of Tuyen Quang. The authorities call on people to strictly follow disaster prevention instructions to ensure the safety of life and property.

Also on the morning of September 30, in Tuyen Quang province, heavy rain from upstream caused the water level of the Lo River section passing through Ha Giang 1 ward to rise rapidly. The risk of flooding on both sides of the river is present, threatening the lives and production of people living along the river. Local authorities are urgently monitoring the situation closely, proactively deploying response measures, and ensuring safety for the people...
