Thousands of 7th grade students in Thai Binh had their math test postponed due to wrong questions.

(Dan Tri) - 7th grade students at secondary schools in Thai Binh city, Thai Binh province, were informed that their first semester math test would be postponed due to a mistake in the test questions.

On January 8, 7th grade students at secondary schools in Thai Binh city, Thai Binh province entered the first semester exam, including English, math (morning test) and literature (afternoon test).

However, when it came to the math test, the school teachers did not hand out the test papers but asked the students to sit in their seats and review their lessons until the end of the test.

Many parents were quite surprised when they picked up their children after school to be informed that the math test had been postponed and would be retaken on January 10. Many parents did not know the reason why the math test was postponed.

Mr. NVT, resident of Ky Ba ward, Thai Binh city, said: "In recent days, my wife and I have been constantly urging our child to review his lessons carefully to prepare for the semester exam. When I heard that the math test had to be postponed and retaken on another day, I was quite surprised and found this incident very unfortunate."

A principal of a middle school in Thai Binh City confirmed that the first semester math test on January 8 had a mistake in the question paper between the textbooks Canh Dieu and Ket Noi Tri Thuc.

A leader of Thai Binh City confirmed: "This school year, the 7th grade class is taught according to two different curriculums. When the test papers were distributed to schools, there was confusion between the test papers of one specialized class and another specialized class. When the incident was discovered, the test was temporarily stopped and rescheduled for another day."

Thai Binh City leaders have directed the Department of Education and Training to report the above incident to Thai Binh City People's Committee.
