Dau Tieng Lake – 'Waveless Bay' in Tay Ninh

From the top of Ba Den, visitors can see the largest artificial lake in Vietnam, calm in the afternoon breeze. Dau Tieng Lake has a diverse landscape surrounding it: from rice fields stretching as far as the eye can see to lotus and water lily fields giving off a sweet scent in the summer sun; dotting the peaceful lake landscape are palm trees in the vast space.

Not far from Ba Den Mountain and Dau Tieng Lake is a vast rubber forest. Especially, when Tay Ninh enters autumn and winter, from the end of November to March, the rubber forest changes leaves, turning into a beautiful red-yellow color like in fairy tales.

Dau Tieng Lake has a headwater area located in Dau Tieng district, Binh Duong province and Hon Quan district, Binh Phuoc province, but the basin is mainly located in Duong Minh Chau district and a small part in Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh province.

The lake is located 25 km east of Tay Ninh city, with a water surface area of ​​270 km2 and 45.6 km2 of semi-flooded land, with a capacity of 1.58 billion m3 of water.

20km from Tay Ninh town, Dau Tieng lake is a tourist destination located on the connecting route between Tay Ninh town - Tay Ninh Holy See - Ba Den mountain. The lake started construction on April 29, 1981 and was completed on January 10, 1985.

Dau Tieng Lake with its vast space, blending mountains and waters, unique natural oases, fresh and cool air will make visitors feel comfortable during a trip. This place is one of the new destinations, suitable for weekend experiences.
