Miss International Transgender Huong Giang competes in Miss Universe 2025

On the evening of September 24, the Organizing Committee of Miss Universe Vietnam - the copyright holder of the Miss Universe contest - Miss Universe International suddenly announced that Miss International Queen 2018 Nguyen Huong Giang will represent Vietnam in this year's contest.

Before Huong Giang, many beauties participated in this arena, among which Miss H'Hen Nie contributed to making history for Vietnamese beauty when in 2018, she excellently entered the Top 5 Miss Universe World in Thailand.

The Miss Universe Vietnam organizing committee said they unanimously made a special decision when choosing Miss Nguyen Huong Giang to compete.

“She is a living testament to the power of determination and talent. Huong Giang's inspirational journey spans many roles: singer, actress, model, MC, judge and producer. Last year, Huong Giang took on the role of producer of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, affirming her journey of constantly challenging herself. In every role, she shines with strong inner strength, creativity and pride, true to the image of a modern and strong Vietnamese woman,” said the Miss Universe Vietnam Organizing Committee.

The news that Huong Giang is the first Miss International Transgender of Vietnam to compete in the 74th Miss Universe pageant has caused endless discussion among the beauty fan community on social networking sites.

Miss Nguyen Huong Giang's real name is Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, born in 1991 in Hanoi . She is 1.70m tall, with measurements of 86-62-90cm. Huong Giang transitioned after graduating from high school.

Huong Giang attracted the attention of the audience when she entered the Top 4 of the Vietnam Idol contest - Music Idol 2012. Not stopping there, she expanded into the fields of beauty, acting, entertainment program production... In March 2018, she was crowned Miss International Transgender in Pattaya, Thailand, and won 2 subsidiary awards "Talented Beauty" and "Most Favorite Self-Introduction Video".
