Green wave opens up new opportunities
Mr. Dang Tan Duc - Director of Becamex Group R&D Institute
Ho Chi Minh City is one of the pioneering localities promoting green transformation in production and consumption. A series of multi-sector projects have formed a high-tech manufacturing base in many leading enterprises. This NextGen ISCO Forum also introduced a cooperation project between Vietnam and Germany in establishing a microelectronics research center in Binh Duong , with 5 key milestones: market analysis, concept design, human resource training and expert exchange.
What should small businesses prepare?
Mr. Dang Viet Dung - General Director of Nano Technologies Vietnam, commented: "The new generation of leaders grew up in a digital environment so they adapt to technology quickly. However, the big challenge is greening. Vietnam is currently a major manufacturing center in Southeast Asia, many international businesses are interested in ESG, clean and sustainable production."
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Cong Tan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association, emphasized: "This is the time for businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast to join forces to create a value chain. Each business needs to prepare its own strengths to cooperate and form a production network."
Special mechanism to create launch pad
Deploy LAB, test sandbox mechanism
Experts also pointed out that Ho Chi Minh City needs to take advantage of the special mechanism under Resolution 68, allowing businesses to deploy LAB rooms and test the sandbox mechanism. This will be the basis for businesses to boldly invest and form high-tech production chains - a "launch pad" to help Vietnamese businesses participate more deeply in the global supply chain right in Ho Chi Minh City.
