The 2024-2025 school year is considered an important pivotal year to complete the educational goals for the 2021-2025 period of Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, the Project to build 4,500 classrooms to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) contributes to supplementing the school network, meeting the need for learning places of students in the city.
These days, SGGP reporters recorded thousands of engineers and workers working day and night, "overcoming the sun and rain" to soon put into use new, spacious, modern, and standard schools.
Cluster of 3 schools: Son Ca Kindergarten; Hung Vuong Primary School and Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School in Ward 6, Tan Binh District Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School (Ward 10, District 6) has completed construction and put into use in time for the opening of the new school year 2024-2025. The Tan Tuc Primary School construction project (Binh Chanh district) with a total investment of 261.2 billion VND is expected to be put into use on September 2. Binh Tri Dong B Secondary School (Binh Tan District) is built on an area of over 14,000m2, with a total investment of over 276 billion VND. Currently, the project progress has reached 85% of the volume, will be completed in July, and put into use on September 5th. The project to build a new Phuoc Kieng Kindergarten - Nam Sai Gon (Nha Be district) is preparing to pour the roof of the first floor, striving to put the project into use on April 30, 2025. The cluster of 3 schools including: Son Ca Kindergarten; Hung Vuong Primary School and Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School are built on a land area of over 50,000m2, in Ward 6, Tan Binh with a total investment of over 1,150 billion VND. The construction volume is currently 55%. The project to build a new Dinh Cong Trang Primary School (An Lac Ward, Binh Tan District) has a total investment of nearly 200 billion VND; currently reaching 99% of the construction volume.
