Seminar on Improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism work

On March 11, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a seminar on improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism work of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations at all levels in the province. Comrade Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee chaired the conference.

At the seminar, delegates analyzed and evaluated the implementation results as well as the advantages and difficulties in the process of organizing social supervision and criticism in the past time of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations from the province to the grassroots. Opinions also said that, to improve the work of social supervision and criticism, it is necessary to strengthen the coordination between the Front and socio-political organizations in mobilizing the people to actively participate; clearly identify the focus and key points of social supervision and criticism on issues of concern to the Party and the people; be honest and straightforward in the struggle for social supervision and criticism; overcome the overlapping and duplication in supervision; thoroughly resolve recommendations and proposals after supervision. At the same time, organize training courses for the staff of the Front and socio-political organizations; have a mechanism for social supervision and criticism.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions and positive solutions raised by the delegates at the discussion. In order for the work of social supervision and criticism to be substantive and effective, he suggested that in the coming time, the Front and socio-political organizations need to proactively study and grasp the resolutions and policies of the Party, Party Committees and programs and plans of local authorities; grasp the situation of the people, issues that people have opinions and reflect through meetings with voters, dialogues between Party Committee and government leaders with the people to select the content of social supervision and criticism suitable to the local situation. In particular, after supervision, units need to review and summarize the results of the settlement, report to the Party Committee to lead and direct those units that have not implemented the proposed content. At the same time, seek the participation of experts in various fields and members of the Advisory Boards in monitoring and criticism.
