National conference to review propaganda work in 2024

The propaganda sector urgently develops specific and scientific work programs and plans and implements them actively, resolutely and creatively from the beginning of 2025.

On December 16, in Can Tho city, the Central Propaganda Department held a national conference to review the work of advising Party committees on Party building in politics , ideology, ethics and propaganda fields in 2024, and deploy tasks in 2025.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission , commended and congratulated the achievements of the entire Propaganda sector in 2024.

Mr. Tran Cam Tu suggested that the propaganda sector closely follow the leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat and Party committees, strongly innovate thinking and methods to well perform the assigned tasks, focusing on major and specific contents: focus on advising Party committees at all levels to lead and direct the good implementation of political and ideological work; propaganda work, orienting public opinion, creating high unity within the Party and the entire political system, consensus among the people on policies, goals, requirements and tasks of streamlining the organization and apparatus of the political system in the new situation.

Mr. Tran Cam Tu suggested that the propaganda sector direct and orient information and propaganda regularly, continuously and effectively, creating a broad political activity to successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress; preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, promptly advise the Politburo, the Secretariat and Party committees at all levels to organize a broad political activity throughout the Party, from Party cells to the Central Committee on viewpoints, basic contents, strategic orientations on the new era, the era of rising up of the Vietnamese nation to create high unity of awareness throughout the Party, the entire people, the entire army; strongly arouse national spirit, spirit of autonomy, confidence, self-reliance, self-strengthening, national pride, creativity, aspiration for development to build a prosperous, happy and prosperous country.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, requested the propaganda sector to closely follow the leadership and direction of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, Party committees at all levels, of General Secretary To Lam in the working session with the Central Propaganda Department, of Mr. Tran Cam Tu, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat at the Conference, as well as the main tasks and solutions set out in the Report, urgently develop specific and scientific work programs and plans and actively, resolutely and creatively implement them from the beginning of 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia requested that secretaries and standing members of provincial and municipal Party Committees pay attention to leading and directing the work of Party building in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics, in conjunction with organizational and personnel work; clearly identify that the work of Party building in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics plays a very important role in the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be clean and strong, improving the Party's leadership and governing capacity; highly focus on directing propaganda work, orienting public opinion, creating high unity within the Party and the entire political system, consensus among the people on the policies, requirements, and major and urgent tasks of the Party and the State in 2025, especially on the revolution in arranging and organizing the apparatus to be "lean, compact, strong, operating effectively and efficiently"; on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; Propagating the Party's direction and leadership, the State's management and administration in implementing tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in 2025.

On the other hand, secretaries and standing members of provincial and municipal Party Committees promptly forecast ideological and social issues that may arise to proactively do a good job of ideological work, propaganda work, and orienting social opinion; continue to do a good job of advisory work in the fields of press, publishing, culture, arts, science, technology, education, training, environment, population, public health care, and social security; urgently perfect, arrange, and merge the organizational apparatus of the Mass Mobilization Committee and the Propaganda Committee, determine the name, develop functions, tasks, and working regulations, and submit them to the Politburo and Party Committees to issue a Decision for drastic and effective implementation from the beginning of 2025.

Synchronously carry out the streamlining of the organizational apparatus in conjunction with training, fostering, and restructuring of the staff with sufficient qualities and capacity to meet the tasks; have an effective mechanism to screen and remove from work those who do not have enough qualities, capacity, and prestige; have policies to attract and use people with outstanding capacity; well implement the regime and policies for cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers affected by the restructuring of the organization and apparatus...

At the Conference, delegates exchanged, discussed and evaluated the results of the work of advising Party committees on Party building in politics, ideology, ethics and propaganda fields in 2024; unanimously agreed that in 2024, the entire propaganda sector was proactive, innovative, creative, focused on advising and assisting the Central Executive Committee, directly and regularly the Politburo, the Central Party Secretariat, and Party committees at all levels to strengthen leadership and direction to effectively implement Party building work in politics, ideology, ethics and propaganda fields, achieving outstanding results./.
