On the afternoon of January 21, at VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, the Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Sharing 2024". Attending the program were representatives of provincial departments, branches, management boards of economic zones, industrial parks and nearly 1,700 union members and workers.
Over the years, the union has made efforts to innovate its operating methods, focusing on the grassroots, taking care of and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers with many practical and meaningful activities.
Among them, many activities have left a strong impression on the lives of many workers in industrial zones. These are the Tet Sum Vay Program, Workers' Day, An Tinh Ticket, Trade Union Shelter and various welfare programs supplemented in collective labor agreements with the goal of increasingly bringing more material and spiritual benefits to union members and workers.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, from the operating budget of the Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union and the support of businesses and sponsors, the Dong Nam Nghe An Economic Zone Trade Union spent more than 1 billion VND to organize activities to care for and support Tet, including giving gifts to more than 1,100 workers in difficult circumstances to help them improve their lives and work.
At the program, businesses and philanthropists accompanied and supported funding to give nearly 800 Tet gifts to workers in especially difficult circumstances.
In particular, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, Comrade Vo Van Thuong - President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam also presented 80 gifts to visit and encourage union members and workers with special difficulties at Luxshare ICT Nghe An Limited Liability Company, which is the enterprise with the largest number of employees in the province up to now.
The program "Tet Sum Vay, Xuan Chia Chia 2024" took place enthusiastically with activities, including: Folk dance competition, folk games, exciting and vibrant team building. In addition, the Organizing Committee opened subsidized booths, welfare booths and provided preferential Tet shopping services for workers and laborers.
The program aims to raise awareness, help workers to be attached to and actively participate in the activities of the Trade Union; create changes in awareness and actions of trade unions at all levels in performing well the functions and tasks of their organization.
This is also a motivation for local Party committees, authorities and people to join hands with trade unions to do a good job of taking care of workers in the province./.
