More than 3,000 people participated in the big festival 'March of Capital Students'

At the event, Mr. Tran The Cuong - Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the program "March of Capital Students" attracted the participation of 47 units, representatives of 30 districts, towns, and a number of international schools.

Along with that are the Military - General Staff Ceremonial Group, the People's Public Security Ceremonial Group, students of Vietnamese and Lao ethnic groups... a total of about 3,000 people.

At the program, Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker - Head of UNESCO Representative Office in Hanoi expressed his joy when learning that the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has deployed the Happy School Criteria for all schools, from kindergarten to high school, this school year.

The 'Capital Students March' festival is an opportunity for students to show off their artistic talents nurtured at school.

“This is a significant and exciting step towards creating a more positive and inclusive learning environment for Hanoi students. This initiative is fully aligned with the UNESCO Global Framework for Happy Schools and our partnership with Vietnam in promoting inclusive, equitable and quality education , in order to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4.

“As students march today in the peaceful heart of Hanoi, I hope they will feel proud and appreciative of the heritage of their nation and their fellow citizens, from all ages and backgrounds. They will hold their heads high, and share their stories and achievements with their international peers in peace , global citizenship, creativity and, of course, education,” said Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker.
