On the evening of September 22, in Ho Chi Minh City, the music night "Southern Love" took place, organized by Vietnam Television, Vietnam Television Center in Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Khong Ten Tea Room and Nova Service.
Attending the music night were comrades: Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Phan Van Mai, Central Party Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, along with representatives of departments, branches, businesses and people of Ho Chi Minh City.
The music night featured nearly 30 famous singers such as: Cam Van, Khac Trieu, Hong Nhung, Quang Dung, Le Quyen, Thanh Ha, Phuong Uyen, Quoc Thien...
In recent days, storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) and its circulation have left irreparable losses of life and property for people living in the northern provinces.
According to incomplete statistics, more than 351 people were killed and missing, with damages of over 50,000 billion VND. It can be said that this is the biggest natural disaster in the past 30 years.
In recent days, there have been relief trucks and charity campaigns from many domestic and foreign organizations and individuals day and night to help people in distress during the storm and flood. With the position of the country's economic locomotive and especially the tradition of solidarity of the Party, Government and people of Ho Chi Minh City, in recent days, the spirit of mutual love and mutual assistance of the people of the city named after Uncle Ho has continuously promoted and spread their spirit and responsibility, to share with the spirit of the whole country to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, helping tens of thousands of families to return to normal life soon. The music night "Southern solidarity" once again affirmed that solidarity.
Many songs contain so many emotions and meaningful messages such as: Let the wind take you away, Aspiration , Sa mua giom , Yeu dan toc Viet Nam , Giot nuoc mat , Nho mua thu Ha Noi ... were performed by singers with emotion. Because each song is not just musical notes but also the feelings of people in a country towards their compatriots in the flood-affected areas.
Singer Hong Nhung, a native of Hanoi, shared her emotional feelings after performing the song "Tears" , which was recently composed by musician Vo Thien Thanh: "The sadness of the people in the North who are suffering losses caused by storm Yagi is not just the sadness of the people in Hanoi, or in Ho Chi Minh City or any other city, but it is the common pain of the people of Vietnam".
In addition to the presence of famous singers, the audience present at the program as well as watching TV were updated with the latest information and images from Lang Nu village (Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province), one of the localities that suffered the most damage in the recent storm Yagi.
At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee raised more than 3.62 billion VND.
In addition, after the program, there will be an auction of artifacts donated by benefactors. All proceeds from the music night and the auction will be transferred to the Tam Long Viet Fund of Vietnam Television to join hands in rebuilding Lang Nu as well as supporting people in the northern mountainous provinces, helping them to soon settle down and stabilize their lives.
