On the evening of September 27, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam announced the temporary suspension of operations at a number of airports.

Some airports suspended due to storm No. 10

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said that the airports expected to be directly affected by storm No. 10 include Tho Xuan, Vinh, and Dong Hoi. In particular, Phu Bai International Airport in Da Nang is expected to be affected by early gusts of wind caused by the storm's circulation.

The airports will temporarily suspend operations during the following times: Dong Hoi Airport from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on September 28; Tho Xuan Airport from 10 p.m. on September 28 to 7 a.m. on September 29; Phu Bai International Airport from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on September 28; Da Nang International Airport from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on September 28.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires agencies and units to organize 24/7 duty and strictly implement procedures for responding to storms and tropical depressions in civil aviation activities.

Due to the impact of storm No. 10, Vietnam Airlines said that on September 28, flight VN1597 from Hanoi to Dong Hoi and flight VN1404 from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Hoi will have their take-off time adjusted to 5:30 a.m. on the same day; flight VN1590 from Dong Hoi to Hanoi will take off at 7:10 a.m. on the same day; flight VN1405 from Dong Hoi to Ho Chi Minh City will take off at 7:45 a.m. on the same day.

Also on September 28, flight VN7270 from Ho Chi Minh City to Tho Xuan ( Thanh Hoa ) had its take-off time adjusted to 7:00 and flight VN7271 from Tho Xuan to Ho Chi Minh City had its take-off time adjusted to 9:25 on the same day.

In addition, on September 28, Vietnam Airlines will cancel flights to and from Phu Bai Airport (Hue). During this same period, a number of other domestic and international flights may be affected by the storm.

Airlines recommend passengers to fasten their seat belts throughout the flight, especially in severe weather conditions. Keeping your seat belts fastened, even when the signal light is off, is an important measure to help reduce the risk of turbulence.
