On October 2, according to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, this unit recently organized a scientific workshop to assess the current situation and propose solutions to preserve the Hon Vong Phu scenic relic, part of the An Hoach Mountain Artistic Relic and Scenic Area (An Hung Ward, Thanh Hoa City).

According to the recommendations at the workshop, in the immediate future, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City needs to set up warning signs in dangerous areas, areas at risk of landslides, and increase propaganda, raising the vigilance of residents and visitors. Zoning, using steel mesh, fences to limit the impact of rolling rocks and falling rocks around An Hoach mountain area, ensuring safety and aesthetics for this area.

In addition, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa city needs to promptly implement the planning or establish and adjust the planning and investment project to preserve, renovate and restore the An Hoach Mountain Art and Scenic Relics cluster to submit to the competent authority to restore the relic.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa also requested Thanh Hoa city and related units to immediately dismantle and clean up illegally built structures in the Hon Vong Phu area. At the same time, soon establish a lightning protection project at this relic.

Previously, around June 2022, the Hon Vong Phu relic site suffered a landslide due to heavy rain and lightning. Specifically, at the western location near the top of Hon Vong Phu, a 1x3m rock block collapsed; at the eastern location, a 2.5x3m rock block collapsed.

Hon Vong Phu is a giant limestone mountain, standing upright, next to a smaller rock. From a distance, these two rocks look like the image of a petrified mother holding her child, waiting for her husband in vain.

Hon Vong Phu relic is located in the An Hoach Mountain Art and Scenic Relic Complex (also known as Nhoi Mountain), recognized as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture - Information (now the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism) in 1992.
