Meeting to celebrate the 58th anniversary of Cu Chi being awarded the title "Land of Steel and Bronze Citadel"

On September 14, the Traditional Liaison Committee of Cu Chi homeland "Land of Steel and Bronze Citadel" held a traditional meeting to celebrate the 58th anniversary of Cu Chi being awarded the title "Land of Steel and Bronze Citadel" (September 17, 1967 - September 17, 2025).

On September 14, the Traditional Liaison Committee of Cu Chi homeland "Land of Steel and Bronze Citadel" held a traditional meeting to celebrate the 58th anniversary of Cu Chi being awarded the title "Land of Steel and Bronze Citadel" (September 17, 1967 - September 17, 2025).

Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo member, former President; Nguyen Van Duoc, Central Party Committee member, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, along with leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc shared that 2025 marks the 58th anniversary of Cu Chi being awarded the title "Land of Steel and Bronze", and is also the first year of implementing the 2-level local government model. The meeting is one of a series of activities to express deep gratitude and respect for the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations.

Delegates offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee believes that the communes of Cu Chi district (formerly) will make greater efforts and determination, promote the achieved results, and mobilize resources to successfully implement the goals and tasks in 2025 and the following years.

Within the framework of activities to celebrate the 58th anniversary of Cu Chi being awarded the title "Land of Steel and Bronze", the liaison committee together with sponsors and the Party Committee and People's Committee of 7 communes in Cu Chi district (formerly) organized visits and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, policy families, and poor children who have overcome difficulties.
